Minimum Technical Requirements
The recycling facility must:
• Hold a valid Statement of Compliance (SoC) with the Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships (HKC)
• Possess valid national permits for handling hazardous waste materials
• Have a dedicated team of certified hazardous materials specialists
• Demonstrate capability to safely handle vessels of similar size and complexity
• Complete high-risk material removal within 20 days of vessel arrival at recycling facility
• Complete main hull dismantling within 45 days of vessel arrival
• Submit the Final Recycling Report within 100 days of vessel arrival
