All suppliers invited to participate to this tender are required to provide a set of documents and evidence to satisfy our KYS
(Know Your Suppliers) process and our Prequalification process. Both processes are essential to ensure, transparency, risk 
mitigation and compliance with our investor’s obligations. The KYS process helps us understand the suppliers’ strengths and 
weaknesses but also to verify the legitimacy, financial stability and regulatory compliance of all the potential suppliers, while 
the prequalification process allows us to ensure that suppliers are able to meet our requirements and are correctly structured.
As part of the KYS process, interested supplier are invited to review and complete the document enclosed to the RFQ called 
KYS questionnaire.
As part of the Prequalification Process, supplier must provide the following information with the supporting document:
- Similar experience:
Interested suppliers must demonstrate a proven expertise in the distribution and supply of vehicles similar to those 
described in this RFQ.
- Past experience: 
Interested suppliers must demonstrate at least 5 years of experience in the distribution and supply of vehiclessimilar 
to those described in this RFQ.
- Geographical presence in Africa:
Interested suppliers must demonstrate operational footprint or distribution network across one or more African 
countries. Preference may be given to suppliers with a regional presence and local partnerships in the East African 
Region.
- References:
Interested suppliers must provide verifiable references form other clients (at least 3 references) and examples of 
previous contracts for a similar scope, preferably in Africa.
- Regulatory compliance:
Interested suppliers must provide a statement confirming:
1/ The interested supplier has not been subjected to sanctions or blacklisting by the World Bank, IFC, or any 
other respected financial institution.
2/ The interested supplier is officially recognized as a distributor for the proposed brand and is authorized 
to provide and oversee aftersales support services.
